Camp Description
This is a new camp beginning in 2015. The Next Level Camp is very similar in structure to the Player Development Camp. In addition to tutelage from Coach Painter, campers will be able to hear lectures, interact and view demonstrations from professional basketball players and Boilermaker legends Robbie Hummel, JaJuan Johnson and E’Twaun Moore. Campers will learn the basic fundamentals of the game all aspects of the game of basketball are taught. Take-home drills will also help the campers increase their level of play.

Registration
Registration is for ALL CAMPERS from 2 to 4 p.m., on the first day of camp, in Cary Quad on campus (across the street from Mackey Arena). Both residential and commuting campers must register at Cary Quad Residence Hall prior to the start of camp.

At registration you will check in, get your room assignment, receive your camp T-shirt, and pick up your meal card for the dining halls. Camp orientation will begin immediately following registration. If for some reason you will be arriving late, please contact either the camp office or the residence hall to advise of your estimated arrival time. If you will be leaving early, you will need to notify Elliot Bloom and the residence hall.
Cary Quad Residence Hall
Cary Quad Residence Hall underwent a more than $53 million renovation in 2006. One major change to our 2015 camps, is that all rooms will be air-conditioned.
Parking
Parking at Cary Quad
Parking for camp registration at Cary Quad can be found on the north side of the Quad, and just south of Ross-Ade Stadium (Football) in the A-Lot. Anyone may park in the spaces designated as Residence Hall Parking. Please avoid parking in an A/B/C Lot spot during weekdays.
Parking at Purdue
For drop-off and pick-up, we suggest parking in the A-Lot, which is located immediately south of Ross-Ade Stadium and can be accessed from John Wooden Drive on the East side Ross-Ade Stadium. Lots north of Ross-Ade Stadium are always available.
Commuter Drop Off – Mackey Arena
Parents dropping off commuting campers should pull up to Mackey Arena along N. John R. Wooden Drive on the west side of the building. Parents wishing to park can use the A-Lot located on the west side of the arena, south of Ross-Ade Stadium.

Opening Ceremonies
Opening ceremonies for camp begin at 4 p.m. on the first day of camp in Mackey Arena. Coach Painter will address both parents and campers. Campers will be divided into divisions and teams. Group and individual photos will be taken during the opening ceremonies. Campers will begin their first session of camp immediately after the conclusion of opening ceremonies.
Photographs
Individual photographs with Coach Painter or group photographs can be purchased at registration. Photographs are $10 apiece or both individual and group photos for $15.
Awards Ceremony
The awards ceremony will be held on the last day of camp in Mackey Arena at 3:30pm. All campers should be present at that time. Parents are invited and encouraged to attend.
Camp Meals
The first camp meal is dinner on the first night of the session. The last camp meal is lunch on the last day of the session. The price of meals is included in camp tuition. Residential campers receive three meals per day. Commuting campers receive lunch and dinner daily and should have breakfast before their arrival each day.
Schedules
Daily schedules are available at registration. Game schedules are subject to change, especially on the last day of camp. Please check with your camper regarding game time if you plan to see him play on that day.
Teams
Campers are placed on teams according to age and ability. Our priority in forming teams is to have balanced competition. In some cases, players are “traded” from the team assigned at registration to better balance the competition.
Ford Dining Court
Normal camp attire is expected in the dining rooms. Shoes must be worn. Pajamas, robes, slippers and bathing suits are not suitable attire. If a camper has special dietary needs, please contact Elliot Bloom and accommodations will be made.

Residence Hall Rules
Residence hall rules will be established on the first night of camp prior to lights out. Campers will meet their counselor to discuss standards of behavior. All campers are expected to comply with the rules, regulations, and policies of the hall.
Camp Checklist

- Fan (rooms are not air-conditioned)

- Toilet articles/soap/shampoo, etc.
If camper needs to be taped to prevent injury, camper must provide tape, and a member of the trainer’s staff will apply the product.
Room Amenities
All rooms are double rooms. No more than two will be assigned to a room. Sheets, blankets and pillows will be furnished.
Keys
All residential campers will receive a room key at check-in. Campers are encouraged to keep their keys with them at all times. ALL KEYS MUST BE TURNED IN TO OWEN HALL UPON CHECK-OUT. Campers who lose or do not turn in keys upon departure from camp will be charged an additional $35.
Evening meals
Pizza and breadstick orders will be taken for residential campers during the day. Pizza will be delivered to the dorms at approximately 9:30 p.m. each evening. Drinks machines are located in the basement of Cary Quad.
Roommates
We will try to accommodate roommate requests received prior to the start of camp. If a roommate is not requested, we will assign a roommate of approximately the same age if possible. No changes will be made on registration day.
Room Security
For the security of personal belongings, always keep your room door locked. Please do not bring valuable items or large sums of money. Purdue University does not accept responsibility for theft or loss of money, valuables or personal belongings. Lost and found items may be claimed by contacting the residence hall within two weeks after the close of camp.
Residence Hall Security
The front desk of Cary Quad will be occupied by a staff member at all times. All outside doors to the residence hall are locked in the evening, and all visitors must enter through the front doors and check in with staff. In addition, camp coaches stay in the same hallways as the campers to maximize safety and security.
On-Site Athletic Trainer
An athletic trainer will stay in the residence hall each night during camp. Campers who have injuries or require any sort of medical attention can check in with the athletic trainer or coach 24 hours a day.
Vehicles
Campers who drive to campus MAY NOT use their vehicles during their stay. Vehicles must remain parked in the residence hall lot located on the north side of Cary Quad.
Check Out
Check-out is between 4 and 5 p.m. on the last day of camp. Parents, please arrange with your son where and when you will pick him up to avoid unnecessary confusion. A schedule will be available at registration.
